Katherine Garcia, LMHC, CAP
Director of Programs
Camillus House
As Director of Programs, Ms. Garcia is responsible for overseeing all clinical aspects of Camillus House programs including housing, job training, outreach, case management, outpatient and residential treatment as well as emergency services. Ms. Garcia joined Camillus in 1997 as Clinical Director for the Camillus Life Center. Prior to joining Camillus, Ms. Garcia worked with the Residential Addictions Program at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Ms. Garcia brings to Camillus 20 years of experience in mental health and addictions treatment. She is a strong believer in aftercare once a client completes the intensive residential treatment. She helped develop an aftercare plan at Mount Sinai Hospital and continues that work at Camillus. She stays active in the community by speaking at local agencies on addiction, mental illness, and prevention.
Ms. Garcia has a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from St. Thomas University. She is licensed by the State of Florida as a Mental Health Counselor, a certified addiction professional, and a qualified supervisor in the mental health field.
