Melencia (Mel) Garron
Nurse Manager and QI Coordinator
Camillus Health Concern
As Nurse Manager and Quality Improvement (QI) Coordinator, Melencia (Mel) Garron oversees patient care delivery and monitors patient care outcomes. In addition, she supervises the agency’s clinical support staff, and she is also responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality patient care is delivered consistently to Camillus Health Concern (CHC) patients.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Ms. Garron has 28 years of management experience in various clinical areas with a focus on maternal child health care. She was Director of Nursing at St. James/St. Michael’s Hospital in New Jersey, and later worked at Coral Springs Medical Center and South Miami Hospital. During her years of nursing in New Jersey, Ms. Garron developed and implemented a Birthing Center at Rahway Hospital in 1986.
Ms. Garron has two grown children: Kevin in New Jersey and Jennifer in Maine.
