As Executive Director, Ms. Hirut Kassaye oversees the day-to-day operations of Camillus Health Concern, Inc. (CHC).

Ms. Kassaye has more than 15 years experience in the community health care setting, with extensive involvement in the areas of quality improvement, healthcare planning, and program development.

Prior to being selected as CHC’s executive director, Ms. Kassaye worked as the clinical services administrator for the agency since 1998. In that role, she was responsible for the successful implementation and ongoing administration of the outreach program, which includes satellite sites at Betterway of Miami, the Salvation Army, the Camillus House Shelter Site and Mother Theresa’s Sisters of Charity. Ms. Kassaye has also been responsible for overseeing the agency’s transition to electronic health records – a project that is still ongoing.

Ms. Kassaye has completed all of the classes required to receive her Doctorate degree from the University of Miami’s Graduate School of International Studies.  She also holds a Master’s degree in Public Health and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, both earned at U.M..
