Dinner on the Diamond
The Florida Marlins Community Foundation and The Florida Marlins Wives Present the 12th Annual Dinner on the Diamond on Sunday, May 18, 2008. Bring your picnic blanket and enjoy a special “Picnic in the Park” on the Florida Marlins outfield at Dolphin Stadium. Proceeds from this event will support Daily Bread Food Bank and Camillus House. Presented by Dr. Marvin Dunn, Camillus House and the Green Family foundation
In 2007 Camillus House commissioned historian Dr. Marvin Dunn to create a documentary film about Black Seminoles from Florida who escaped capture into slavery by fleeing in open canoes across the Florida Straits to Andros Island in the Bahamas. “A Vision of Red Bays” features a photographic exhibit showing the lives and work of Red Bays residents, unique wood carvings and basketry made by Red Bays artists, and a twenty-minute film on the history and people of the community.

Hope for All Ball
On Saturday, December 6, 2008, at 7:00 pm,
the Intercontinental Miami will host the Camillus House 9th Annual “Hope
for All Ball” Dinner
Dance and Auction. The theme for the event is Guayaberas and Good
Times. Come celebrate with Dinner • Dancing to the Sounds of the
Carlos Oliva Band • Live & Silent Auction.
The InterContinental Miami is a luxurious destination overlooking the gleaming Biscayne Bay. Enjoy fashionable shopping, world-class dining, and sizzling nightclubs in one of the world's most glamorous districts.
This event was created to help us provide a better future for many homeless individuals in our community. Each year, Camillus House helps thousands of disadvantaged men, women and children put their lives back on track with services such as food, housing, medical care, job training and substance abuse treatment.
The event will include an elegant evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing. Guests will enjoy a silent and live auction featuring fine wines, high-end travel packages, and other exciting items.
We look forward to seeing you there, as we come together to celebrate our mission and continue to provide for the needs of the men, women and children we serve. You don’t want to miss this exciting event!
