Current Positions available at Camillus House:
MASTER LEVEL CLINICIAN
Reports to: Director of Programs
Summary: To serve people who are homeless and suffer from medical psychiatric and/or substance abuse illnesses.
Responsibilities: Welcomes clients in a hospitable manner, in order to establish a positive connection. Conducts initial and ongoing screenings and assessments for persons seeking services and housing placement. Provides individual, group and family counseling. Participates in daily staffing, street and home visits. Coordinates services, refers and advocates for clients in the community. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Committed to the mission of Camillus House, Inc. Master’s degree in Social Work or related field required. License required: LCSW or LMHC. Valid FL-Driver-License. Ability to read and write English at the 12th grade level. Able to work flexible schedule. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated experience working effectively with the homeless and/or minority and underserved populations preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Culturally sensitive to the social, psychological and health care needs of the homeless person and/or underserved populations. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and coworkers. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required: knowledge of Microsoft Access preferred. English required, bilingual preferred (i.e. Spanish), Creole a plus.
Work Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule: Weekends, evenings and on-call, as needed.

RESIDENT SERVICES COORDINATOR
Job Title: Resident Services Coordinator FLSA status: Nonexempt
Department: Housing Reports to: Deputy Director of Housing
Position summary: Assist clients with supportive services necessary to maintain residential and personal stability. Link residents to existing services and resources in the community, assist residents to build an informal support network among themselves, encourage residents to be proactive in meeting their social, psychological and physical needs, provide conflict resolution assistance as appropriate and seek out assistance with existing community resources when needed. RSC’s increase the ability of residents to uphold their lease/agreement obligations such as paying rent/contribution on time, taking proper care of their units and ensuring quiet enjoyment of the property for all residents and surrounding neighbors.
General purpose:

• Commitment to the mission of Camillus House in both knowledge and practice
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field, experience will be considered
• Ability to speak English. Additional language a plus (Spanish and Creole, etc.)
• Ability to read and write English at a 12th grade level
• Proficient with word processing, email, and web browsers, able to enter information correctly into databases and spreadsheets.
Position responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessment of each client using HMIS
• Data input into Camillus House Reporting Information System (CHRIS)
• Development of individualized continuum of care describing a client’s needs for supportive services and establishing a service/referral plan
• Assist client with Linkage/Referral to external supportive services including, but not limited to, benefit programs, care and/or support services related to physical or mental health, including substance abuse, education/vocational opportunities, job counseling, training and placement, child care and transportation necessary to maintain permanent housing
• Maintains accurate and timely records
• Monitor residents compliance with house rules and regulations, document all breaches
• Complete and submit incident reports
• Submit all monthly reports on schedule
• Serves as an advocate for clients within Camillus and the community
• Attends staff meetings and resident house meetings
• Works effectively and professionally with Camillus staff and community partners
• Other duties as assigned

• Experience working with persons who are poor or homeless, and/or who are members of minority or underserved populations
• Highly dependable and trustworthy

• Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
RESIDENTIAL ASSISTANT
Responsibilities:
Welcomes clients in a hospitable manner, in order to establish a positive connection.
Performs daily monitoring of all clients at the facility.
Responsible for reading and maintaining daily logs.
Responsible for assisting clients with daily activities.
Monitors daily self-medication distribution.
Ensures that facility is clean at all times.
Assigns chores to clients and performs follow-up inspections.
Ensures the dispensation and storage of supplies.
Conducts room inspections and documents any maintenance/repairs needed.
Responsible for distribution of food at meal times.
Evening Shifts: Answers phones and takes messages when necessary. Informs supervisor of any
problems that occur in the evening and early morning hours.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum 6 months previous experience in a social services setting.
Demonstrated ability to mediate and solve discrepancies between residents.
Ability to read and write English at the 12th grade level.
Able to work flexible schedule.

Demonstrated experience working effectively with the homeless and/or minority
and underserved populations preferred.
