Residential Treatment
Some CMH clients may be placed into the Residential Treatment component, which operates 13 residential treatment beds on-site at CMH. This component provides clients with 12 hours of group activities per week, consisting of group therapy, educational sessions, films, and group activities, as well as one-on-one therapy with a licensed mental health practitioner, and 20 hours of work therapy. Treatment is broken into three stages. Level 1 (“Bronze” stage) is approximately one month in duration; Level 2 (“Silver”) lasts approximately three months; and Level 3 (“Gold”) lasts approximately two months. Clients are evaluated at timed intervals to determine whether they have made acceptable progress in order to transition to the next level. CMH emphasizes giving clients the time that they need to fully recover, and each client progresses at their own pace.
