Phase Three
Phase Three sees clients actively seek and obtain employment. Clients start to attend the Aftercare Group, where they receive support and encouragement from graduates of the program. Once a client receives two full time paychecks he moves into one of Camillus’ transitional supported housing facilities, where clients are able to live for up to 18 months while they become grounded in the sober lifestyle. Clients pay one third of their income for rent, save one third, and have a third for spending money. They adhere to curfews, attend house meetings and five NA/AA meetings per week, and return to ISPA for Aftercare Group.
Many ISPA clients remain involved long after graduation, maintaining an informal support network with other persons who were formerly homeless and in recovery. ISPA graduates also volunteer as mentors to new ISPA clients, and are proud to serve as role models for others undertaking the recovery journey.
