Transitional Housing: South Dade
Brother Keily Place
Brother Keily Place is a six to nine month long transitional housing program for single, homeless adults. A total of 50 men and/or women are housed in 10 cottage-style buildings. On-site case management and food services are provided, as well as many different life skills trainings such as nutritional instruction and personal budget counseling.
Mother Seton Village and Saint Michael Residence
Combined, these housing programs provide approximately 192 beds of transitional housing in brand new units built on the former Homestead Air Reserve Base. Opened in August 2000, Mother Seton Village provides a total of 40 apartments for families and Saint Michael Residence provides 30 beds for single men. Intensive case management services are provided throughout the program, with other services including child care provided on an as-needed basis. Seventy five percent of Saint Michael Residence is reserved for veterans, and Camillus provides specialized services for veterans to this targeted population.
