Camillus
House has been providing services to persons who are poor and homeless
in South Florida since 1960. We began operations at the request of the
then-Diocese of Miami to assist with the large and increasing Cuban immigration.
As Miami changed and grew, so did the needs of the poor in our community.
What began as a “storefront” operation has grown into a full
continuum of care offering services to thousands of individuals. We invite
you to explore the different programs Camillus House offers.
Compassionate Hospitality – A variety of services to bring dignity and basic assistance to individuals on the streets and those on the fringe of being homeless
Continuum of Housing – Emergency, transitional and permanent housing programs providing shelter for over 700 individuals who are poor and homeless.
Comprehensive Healing – Comprehensive treatment for two of the major causes of chronic homelessness: substance abuse and mental health issues.
Career Help – JOB Employment Program (industry-specific on-the-job training).
