Carnival Liberty hosts Camillus House and United Way supporters

of Miami-Dade; Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez;
Bob Dickinson, CEO of Carnival Cruise Lines;
Dr. Paul Ahr, President of Camillus House.
In one night, two great events on Carnival Cruise Lines’ newest fun ship, CARNIVAL LIBERTY, brought together more than 2,600 people in support of two of our community’s leading charitable organizations, Camillus House and United Way of Miami-Dade. The overnight cruise featured Camillus House’s Hope for All Ball and United Way’s 8th annual Mayor’s Ball hosted by The Honorable Carlos Alvarez. With Carnival Cruise Lines’ outstanding generosity in underwriting the cost of the cruise, the proceeds – which totaled more than $1.3 million in sponsorships, ticket sales and casino revenues, plus another $98,000 from onboard events benefiting Camillus House – went to help Camillus House and United Way further their missions of improving lives in Miami-Dade.
Many thanks to the gala committee, sponsors and guests for joining Carnival Cruise Lines in reaching out to make a lasting difference in people’s lives through this very special cruise.
