Camillus House Heart and Hand Friendship Circle

The Heart and Hand Friendship Circle is a very special monthly giving program for friends of Camillus who share our deeply held belief that every human being deserves love, respect, and a chance to live a dignified life. Members become stakeholders in Camillus House by regularly supporting our mission to improve the lives of individuals who are poor and homeless individuals in our community, and ultimately bring and end to chronic homelessness.
Contributions are automatically deducted each month from your designated bank account or credit card, saving you the cost of postage and checks and helping us keep printing, postage and processing expenses at a minimum. Of course, you’ll still receive our much read newsletter, The Clarion, as well as other special mailings such as our end of year calendar and holiday specials where you can read about how your support is touching people and changing lives for the better.
Camillus House is Making a Difference!
With over four decades of providing humanitarian services to persons who are poor and homeless in South Florida, Camillus House has a proven track record in rebuilding broken lives and empowering men, women and children to overcome homelessness. Throughout the year Camillus House provides a host of services such as food and shelter, job training, housing, rehabilitation, health care and counseling.
- Camillus produces over 600,000 hot nutritious meals a year and more than 56,000 nights of emergency, overnight shelter.
- Camillus provides 17,000 social services encounters, which helps individuals and families with clothing, homeless prevention, outreach, case management, bagged lunches and food boxes.
- Camillus helps more than a 1,000 individuals and families move into transitional and permanent housing.
- Camillus provides residential treatment for up to150 individuals to help them reclaim their lives as productive members of our society.

How Can You Help?
Imagine that for less than the cost of a pizza you can provide the means to care for the needs of individuals and families who are poor and homeless and have nowhere to turn. As a Heart and Hand Friendship Circle member, your monthly gift enables us to provide much needed services today and a brighter future tomorrow for countless men, women and children.
- Associate Level: $25 a month will... provide food and shelter for 18 persons who are homeless.
- Sustainer Level: $50 a month will... provide aftercare counseling for five people in rehabilitation.
- Advocate Level: $75 a month will... helps 35 homeless families find shelter.
- Patron Level: $100 a month will... provide employment training for up to 18 persons who are homeless.
- Benefactor Level: $125 a month will... provide a home for as many as 5 families with children.

Becoming a Member is Safe and Easy!
You can join the Camillus Heart and Hand Friendship Circle by simply filling out the attached enrollment form, putting it in the enclosed return envelope and dropping it in the mail. The whole process only takes five minutes.
Thereafter, your gift will automatically be drawn from the account of your choosing and show up on your bank or credit card statement. If your account has insufficient funds for your pledge, we will notify you by letter that the transfer did not take place. Your gifts will continue to be drawn until you inform us in writing that you want to change the amount or withdraw your membership.
Within a few days, you’ll receive a welcome package that includes a confirmation letter, official membership certificate and an elegant Heart and Hand pin that you can proudly wear. By joining you will automatically be included in the Brothers of the Good Shepherd’s daily prayers for you and your family.

What Can You Expect?
You can be assured that your support will provide individuals and families right here in our community the chance to live a safe and productive life. Of course, we invite you to personally visit us and see first hand how your support is helping people make the difficult transition from living on the streets to a new life as self-sufficient members of our community. Simply call us to schedule a tour with a Camillus House representative.
In addition, once a year you’ll receive a Camillus House Annual Report, which highlights the year’s accomplishments, provides stories of individuals and families that have been helped and reports on our progress toward ending chronic homelessness.
