Matching Gift Programs
Many of Camillus House’s supporters may have the chance to multiply the gifts made to our mission. Many businesses have matching gift programs set up to encourage their employees to donate money to charities and public service organizations. Even retired employees are often eligible to participate in their former employer's matching gift programs.
The typical matching gift program is set up so that a company or corporation gives the same amount of money its employee gave to the same charity. Camillus House is eligible for many matching gift programs. To participate, simply:
- Check with your Human Resources or Matching Gift Department to see if your company has a matching gift program.
- Fill out an application and send it with your donation to:

- If Camillus House is not offered as a choice in your company’s
matching gift program, please take the following information to your
matching gifts coordinator. Ask them to consider adding Camillus House
as a charitable organization to receive matching funds. They will need
the following information:
- Camillus House is a non-profit organization that provides humanitarian services to poor and homeless men, women and children of Miami-Dade County, Florida for more than 43 years. Camillus House is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt charity under section 501 (c) 3. Camillus House provides a comprehensive “continuum of care” for poor and homeless persons through services that include substance abuse and mental health treatment; emergency, transitional, and permanent housing; food, clothing, showers, outreach, case management, rent assistance; work training and job development; and, health care services through its sister organization Camillus Health Concern.
- Camillus House employs more than 130 staff members, with another 40 employed at Camillus Health Concern. The Board of Directors brings together a diverse group of professionals and community leaders to oversee the organization. Thousands of volunteers pass through Camillus’ doors each year. Together, this eclectic mix of dedicated individuals is working every day to reach the most needy and vulnerable members of our community. Every service offered at Camillus is carried out with the deeply held belief that every human being deserves love, respect, and a chance to live a dignified life. Camillus’ goal is to reach the hardest-to-reach and poorest members of our community, giving them the hope and support they need to begin the long, difficult transition to a new life and self-sufficiency.
