SPECIAL HOLIDAY CHEER FOR FAMILIES SERVED BY CAMILLUS HOUSE
(Miami, FL. December 15, 2006) – Holiday Charity, a volunteer initiative formed to benefit Camillus House will bring holiday cheer to 48 formerly homeless families living at the Camillus House’s Somerville Residence on Saturday, December 16th at 10:30 AM. The housing program, which is located at 400 NW 3rd Court, has provided permanent housing to hundreds of single parents and their children since opening in 2000.
Entering its 6th year of helping less fortunate families, Holiday Charity Founder Alex Fernandez will join Father Albert Cutie and a host of distinguished guests including State Rep. Julio Robaina, and representatives of the Miami-Dade County Commission who sponsored this event to distribute Christmas trees, lights, ornaments, and gifts for the children.
